The Dance On Ensemble shows two of its signature works at the 14th Belgrade Dance Festival: Catalogue (First Edition) by William Forsythe – a duet for Brit Rodemund and Christopher Roman, and 7 Dialogues by Matteo Fargion for the entire company.

Belgrade Dance Festival has become an important landmark for dance artists. Every year it brings the most iconic and innovative productions from all over the world to the city, where it continues to inspire and invigorate the regional dance scene. The festival reaches a large audience and introduces new and sometimes challenging aesthetics to a wide range of people, helping them to discover and appreciate contemporary dance.

The Dance On Ensemble is part of an initiative to raise the profile of dancers aged 40+ whose experience, charisma and artistic excellence are too often overlooked and undervalued. Working with internationally renowned choreographers and directors, the company is developing a new repertoire of ground-breaking and challenging contemporary dance works – the Dance On 1st Edition. Its aim is to create a solid base for a rich and ambitious future repertoire for dancers 40+. Christopher Roman, the former Associate Artistic Director of The Forsythe Company, is the Dance On Ensemble’s Artistic Director. He is joined by dancers Ty Boomershine, Amancio Gonzalez, Brit Rodemund, Jone San Martin, and Ami Shulman.
