The German artist duo deufert&plischke’s work InsTanzen plus concentrates on intergenerational encounters. In collaboration with Viviana Escalé the project is being realised by the over-60s ensemble Festspielhaus-Community Tanz 60 plus, who lead the audience in a participatory performance that opens up new perspectives on the process of ageing and the value of experience. Memories and personal dance experiences lie at the heart of the first part of the evening, while in the second half the audience is invited to get to its feet and take part, becoming immersed in the magnificent sounds of Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring.
